I was dragging a kaleidoscope tool (no, not that kaleidoscope) over some of the icons I had been working on and saw a pair of green glassie eyes pop up....hmmm, a fly. No... an alien. OK, so maybe it looks like a fly to you but I say it's an alien. If I could figure out a way to render a zipper down the length of the scroll track, then I'd do a color scheme called "Fly."
This color scheme for Kaleidoscope is an offshoot of the "Kashmir" scheme I did. I liked the color of the inactive windows in that scheme, and I based this one on it. I plan to work on some lighter stuff soon.....maybe a yellow gingham to complement those kitchen curtains. (Not.) Anyway, I have included a number of matching Alien icons, and a texture for the desktop in picture clipping form. If you have the system 7something Desktop Patterns control panel, simply drag the pic clipping to the control panel and hit "Set Desktop Pattern." If you have another texture application, I imagine that opening the clipping and copy/pasting into the application would work just grand. Note: If your monitor is limited to 256 colors, you probably won't care for the look of the texture.

Scrollites "Alien" is shareware, $5. I realize it may hardly seem worthwhile to write a check for 5 bucks....and you would probably not believe the amount of time that went into creating and tweaking Scrollites. Your one-time registration fee entitles you to all past and future versions of Scrollites, and I believe it's more than a fair price...so if you use them, please support the shareware concept....Thanks. If you're already a registered user of of any versions of Scrollites, (including being registered with the former $2 fee), Scrollites "Alien" is free.
